A friend mentioned this cigar to me. After yawning, I thought; 'oh joy--another cigar with the word "Cuba" in it'. I expected a giant ring gauge stick with a huge, blinged-out double band. This cigar has a nice hand feel and weight, with a very nice prelight draw, almost perfectly suited to my liking. Toast and Cedar predominantly power the first half inch or so, with a creamy buttery finish through the sinus. The nicely packed foot lit well and continued a nice straight burn with a medium sized burn line....
The initial draw had a very light creamy taste which was unexpected from such a dark maduro. There was a hint of chocolate as well. Very satisfying....
This is not a real torpedo as advertised. I call it a "Conicolito" (little cone) , because that's what it looks like. The cigar is straight-gauge all the way to the last 3/4", then goes to a point at nearly a 45 degree angle. It looks awkward. So I chop it, and begin to light it. Oh no, not another tight stick. Sure enough, it was nearly plugged. I light it, and it's only average....
Spicy mocha flavors punctuate the initial lite and first few draws. Aroma on initial lite was fairly average for a dark maduro smoke like this....
Initial light gave a slightly sweet and creamy flavor with just the tiniest hint of pepper in the back of the throat. Each subsequent draw the sweetness is fading and being replace by a more prominent tobbaco / pepper spice. Being a Lancero, this cigar was very easy to light, and the draw has just the right amount of resistance for me. Aroma is pleasant....
Strong Pepper, hints of wood and leather. Cap was poorly placed and a little small but didn't cause any problems with unraveling after being snipped. Draw was medium to a little tight. I usually punch these thin ring gauges but my punch is being repaired, but I suspect the draw will open up and be fine....

The cigar always lights easily and evenly. I\'ve yet to see any flare-ups or dead spots. However, the Suprema size often arrives too tightly packed, making for a difficult draw. The black Oscuro wrapper gives the impression that it\'s going to be a full bodied stick that will club you over the head, but that\'s more appearance than reality....

I gave the foot a good toasting and the cigar lit nice and evenly. The draw was good with only a slight resistance. The smoke was cool and medium bodied and was not in any way overwhelming to the palate....
The pre-light draw was smooth and easy. After a toasting with my trusty Blazer the cigar lit evenly and produced volumes of smoke. The smoke leaves a thick texture in the mouth and the medium bodied flavor is of sweet spice with hints of almonds....

The first thing you notice is the wonderful scent, as strong as the ACID Blue's. On first light the draw is exceptionally smooth. It doesn't give off as much smoke as some of the shorter, fatter cigars, but the taste is superb - lots of floral notes, the green tea flavor along with fruity flavors. Because the flavors are infused and not flavored you get a much more subtle taste experience....
Almost perfect burn from the start - no runs, very consistent. The draw was nicely tight but any initial flavor was totally dominated by the sweetness....
I only smoke flavored cigars and you don't see too many reviews of them on these sites so I thought I'd do a couple. Here's a tip for you regular cigar smokers - don't keep flavored cigars in a humidor with regular cigars. I gave a few samples to a friend of mine and the flavors transferred to his other cigars - he wasn't pleased! Also, keep any cello etc wrappers on in the humidor. Apparently the tobacco is a blend of all ligero types, which I have to say I like - they have that spicy full-bodied taste that I tend to like in a cigar - so these have always been a bit of a favorite....
The thing I love about these cigars is the wonderful construction - they never let you down and are just consistently good. Also for a medium to full-bodied cigar, they aren't too strong - you are not overwhelmed by it. The draw is pretty good as well....
