Like I mentioned before, this is a very impressive looking cigar. It appears to be nicely packed with tobacco, with no spots to indicate otherwise. Even before I could pull it out of the cello, the sweet smell of quality tobacco abounds. And upon lighting the perfecto foot, the cigar establishes a true burn line until the nub. The aroma from the cigar is wonderful, spot on with what a good maduro should offer. A little bit of spice is coming through, but the majority of flavors are a comb...
I bought a box of these Erin Go Bragh cigarillos towards the end of last year. They are the perfect smoke when my cigarette-smoking buddies come over, allowing me to join them for 10 minutes without sacrificing a bigger stick. The cigarillo lit up very easily and did not have any problems keeping the burn until the pinch of my fingertips. The mixture of Dominican fillers along with the Connecticut shade wrapper creates big cigar flavor in a small package. Slight white spiciness intertwines...
I know, I know Most cigar smokers frown upon flavored cigars, immediately associating them with convenience store offerings. The Flavours line by CAO is different in my book. They are a wonderful change of pace from the traditional cigars, and equally as enjoyable given the right occasion. The sweetness of the cap is quite calming, balancing out the spices inherent to the Cameroon wrapper. My new 3 flame torch lighter toasts the foot perfectly, gently igniting the tobacco. The cigar seems...
The Brazilia took a flame very well, and just one match later I was good to go. Each puff produced a copious amount of bluish smoke, carrying rich notes of earth and roast nuts. There is also a very nice, natural sweetness coming through, complementing the spicy earth flavors....
Giving this cigar an easy light with only two cigar matches, I realize that I am in for a very pleasant experience. As the foot begins to burn, the aroma is absolutely gorgeous. There is a nice floral scent, almost no spice, and sweetness to carry it through. The cigar seem to have a good amount of tobacco rolled up into it, but not as solid as some of Pepin’s cigars. Not to worry, though, as it is burning slowly, and I’m off to a great start!...
It only took one match to get this short, pudgy stogie going. I am immediately greeted by a wonderful aroma, with the gentle zest of the Connecticut shade tantalizing the senses. The first few puffs coat the palate with an almost oily glaze, delivering natural sugar notes. Roast nuts and cedar make an early appearance as well. The cigar is drawing a little hard for my preference, but each puff is rewarded with ample white smoke....
The cigar lit up very easily, and this little joy of a robusto opened up. Lot's of peppery, woodsy flavors coming through right after the lighting. However, there is some bitterness as the flavors turn earthy, almost musty and wet. Frankly, I was worried that if this is what the experience is going to be, I will most likely have to put the cigar down....
After peeling the strip of wax away from the glass tube cap, the Louis XIII Remy Martin cognac wafts up, signaling a great experience to come. The cigar slides out of the tube easily, ready for ignition. I prefer a single-flame torch for more control, which quickly gets this cigar settled in. The aroma is wonderful, filling the air with the sweetness of cognac and medium body tobacco shadowed by cedar and cocoa tones. Just beautiful!. The cigar needs a little touch up to burn evenly, but no big...
The cigar lights up with ease, and the burn is effortlessly maintained. Initial, pre-light flavors come through with some sweet spiciness in typical Nicaraguan fashion. The flavors are simple, those of cedar and nuts. I think it is worthwhile to mention some of the background of this cigar. Swisher International abandoned their handmade premium cigar segment in the late 1990s. I picked up a bundle from JR Cigars, and these should be right around 10 years old. The bands are nothing to wri...
The cigar sparked up with ease and immediately started its razor-sharp burn. The palate is immediately greeted with plumes of woody smoke, with a nice, sweet cedar aftertaste. The inherent maduro creaminess is carrying the woody flavors very nicely, with smoke to boot....
Upon the first draw, I find it to be smooth and unrestricted. The cigar began to burn absolutely flawlessly from the beginning, and continued down to the very nub. The smoke is cool and carries flavors of dark cocoa, cedar (which might be coming from the cedar wrapper from the aluminum tubo container), and leather. Honestly, if this continues throughout the entire cigar, I will be extremely happy with the purchase. The body is spot on medium, but as pepper sparks up, I realize that more is o...
I've been gravitating towards smaller cigars lately. I want the taste but not all the nicotine. Plus I find a 20 minute smoke more enjoyable than a 2 hour one. On to the review: This little perfecto has a nice pre-light taste with a little sweetness. The light is very uneventful, as most perfecto's are. Just a little flame and you're off. The draw was perfect right off the bat, as would be expected from a cigar shorter than my pinky finger. Good volume of smoke, good rich flavor....
The cigar lit up with ease, taking only one match to get the job done. There is an immediate mixture of herbal and floral aromas. I had to do a double take to make sure that I am smoking a traditional cigar, and not an Acid. Granted, that may be a slight overstatement, but the amount of these pleasant scents is far greater than in any non-infused cigar that I have smoked before. The cigar starts off on a very even burn line, producing dense clouds of white and bluish smoke. The smoke feels ...
The cigar took 3 matches to light, which is on the higher end of what I'll go through to get a fresh stick started. The aroma is absolutely gorgeous, a combination of dark roasted coffee. There is a lot of promise for complexity from the first few puffs. As with the aroma, the smoke brings out tastes of dark coffee and bitter chocolate, but there are some nuances of brown sugar sweetness and hazelnut. So far, this is very interesting prelude to a smoke. ...
The cigar lit up with only one match, and since I tend to use matches over lighters, this is pretty good, as some sticks can take 2 or 3. Upon lighting, the aroma is fairly light and toasty, with hints of oak. Upon taking a few puffs, there are a few blips of white pepper that pop up, but not with every puff. I can really sense the oak coming through, which must be due to the barrel aging process that Aurora performs with these cigars. Apparently they age the all of the component leaves insi...
This is a big cigar, a full 60 ring gauge, so the light took a little more effort. The cigar also feels really light. It burned unevenly right off the bat....
Leathery with a very slight spice and a bit of sweetness...
sweet rich dark flavors highlighted by cedary sweetness....
I almost didn't want to light this beautiful cigar. It smells so good. The perfect balance of sweetness with depth. Almost. The cigar lights very easily, but I took my time getting an even burn with the flame a little bit further away. The ash was immediately white and firm, burning in a perfect circumference around the cigar body....
A little Dry tasting with some sweetness and immediate pepper on the tongue but not so much on the throat....
