Perfect draw with a wonderful salt & pepper taste which turns into a purely exceptional flavor almost immediately....
The perfecto tip lit up very easily and provided a flawless burn throughout the cigar. The initial notes of cedar definitely picked up with with the flame with deep, earthy tobacco notes complemented its crisp nuances. Somewhere in the background, the tobacco core appears to sweeten up a bit, which might be due to the approaching first third being the thickest part of the cigar....
this is more of a general review. over the last year 3 times a friend has given me a small Opus X as a gift. they have a wonderful reputation but I wonder if that hss gone to their head? each time the cigar was harsh and had a very tight draw. the most recent one had to be re-lit a couple of times. at the price these sell for I'm over Opus X. give me a diamond crown, a Padron '64, even a nice Partagas... just my opinion. curious if anyone else has been disappointed in these......
