Apparently the tobacco is a blend of all ligero types, which I have to say I like - they have that spicy full-bodied taste that I tend to like in a cigar - so these have always been a bit of a favorite.
The burn is great and consistent - I never have to do any retouching with these cigars. the ash is firm and the draw is good as well. There's a lot going on flavor wise - its nicely complex but also well balanced with a mix of earthiness, strong honey, a touch of spice while at the same time it is creamy on the finish.
Into the second third the burn remains solid with a thin burn line. It is certainly a smoke you want to take some time over - it took me the best part of an hour just to get to the half way point. As you get towards the final third I could detect a few herbals notes coming in.
You want to allow a good couple of hours to enjoy one of these cigars but it is certainly time well spent to my mind. Overall it is a very good spicy medium bodied cigar with a full-bodied taste. You can certainly taste the ligero throughout but I never found it overpowering in any way. Not something I would necessarily smoke all the time, but certainly a cigar I come back to time and again.
