I almost didn't want to light this beautiful cigar. It smells so good. The perfect balance of sweetness with depth. Almost. The cigar lights very easily, but I took my time getting an even burn with the flame a little bit further away. The ash was immediately white and firm, burning in a perfect circumference around the cigar body.
Perfection. As good as any Cuban within the last 5 years. Strong hints of chocolate, hickory, and cedar completely dominate the senses. The draw is wonderful, filling the mouth with volumes of smoke effortlessly.
every bit as good as the first third, but building in the tobacco flavor. No bitterness or tar flavor anywhere. The ash is over 2" long, white as snow. Some people outside have commented how good it smells. (I was in a pub ).
The spice has really kicked in. I can't imagine what their triple ligero is like. The cigar is plenty strong, lacking nothing. The cedar essence has returned, but overshadowed by the dense tobacco flavor. The burn is unchanged, the cigar shows no construction flaws whatsoever. This cigar will be in my permanent collection. Truly outstanding.
