Initial Light

The pre-light draw was smooth and easy. After a toasting with my trusty Blazer the cigar lit evenly and produced volumes of smoke. The smoke leaves a thick texture in the mouth and the medium bodied flavor is of sweet spice with hints of almonds.

First 1/3:

The cigar burned very evenly and slowly and the ash was firm and solid. The sweet spice remained consistently through the first third of the cigar, although the almond hints tailed off after a while. There was an occasional kick to the spice as well an the finish remained of the heavy side.

Second 1/3:

The burn got a little uneven in places but nothing to be concerned over. Both the burn rate and the flavor remained fairly consistent into the last third of the cigar.

Final 1/3:

The main noticeable change was that the bodied built to the medium-full range while the finish actually got a bit lighter. The sweet spiciness tailed off towards the end and you get a more natural tobacco flavor which was actually a bit disappointing because that was the best bit about it. It is a shame that the almond hint didn't last longer in the mix as well - the first third was definitely the best and the rest was otherwise pretty average. I'll probably come back for another try - but not in a hurry.
