Initial Light

Initial light of cigar is thick and full of rich leather. The initial light left me slightly overwhelmed with the amount of earth and leather flavor and I was concerned at first whether I would be able to handle this grade of cigar. It does leave a nice film on the palate which sets you up for the first third.

First 1/3:

Once I got past the initial light, which went up quite easy, I was surprised at how the cigar came together. The earthy flavor mellowed and and mashed well with the leather. This trend continued for the rest of the first third and was a nice set up going into the second.

Second 1/3:

At about the middle this cigar comes into its own. It brings about some nuttiness but nothing very noticeable. A hint here and there but it mostly stays true to its earthy and leather flavors. A good buzz begins at this point and continues the rest of the way through the smoke.

Final 1/3:

The final third of the smoke brings for a very thick and powerful finish. This is definitely a cigar I would sit down for and more prefer before bed or at the end of the day. I definitely did not feel like doing anything by the time I was through and luckily my day was over after finishing anyway.
