goathahalol purchased this cigar on 2010-01-01.
It has 5 months of additional aging.
Very nice and smooth cedary flavors. Slightly sweet with very mild spice. Lit up very nicely and put out a good amount of smoke.
On through the first third the smoothness of this cigar is really nice, most of the slight peppery spice has faded to a slight afterthought and left room for more dry cedary sweetness. Draw is flawless and burn is exceptional. Ash is very tight and white.
Lost ash around 1". Draw has stayed consistent and is not hot at all. Flavors remain pretty much the same save the spice creeping back in slightly. I've never smoked a true cuban cigar(blasphemy I know), but this is what I expect them to taste like. Very rich intense flavors, very creamy, not harsh at all but not overly powerful.
Final third remained pretty consistent, although the strength built to the upper end of medium. Removing the band was a bit clumsy and tore off a decent size piece of the the wrapper, but posed no problem in the burn. Overall I'd say that I was VERY pleased with this smoke. I'm not sure the exact price, as it was gifted to me(thanks J!) but i've seen them online around 5 - 6 bucks a stick and at that price I'd say this is a pretty good bargain.
